2K Games has officially announced BioShock for the PS3, finally after half a year of rumours. The game will reportedly have new features added to it to entice both new and existing fans.

“BioShock's extension to the PlayStation 3 system will bring exciting new content to this amazing title and reach many new players,” said the publisher in a statement.

The port has been dated for an October 2008 release. Check out the first couple of screenshots released.
